Announcing a New Chapter at Journeys: Alex Steps Up as Managing Director

Building Journeys has been one of the most exciting (and intense) adventures of my career. Today, I’m proud to share a new chapter: Alejandro Roca Rivera - better known around here as Alex - has been promoted to Managing Director of Journeys Global Group.

As for me? I’m stepping into the role of CEO, focused on driving our strategy and long-term growth, while Alex takes the lead on day-to-day operations as we continue to expand across the globe.

It’s a move that feels natural. Alex has been instrumental in building what Journeys stands for from day one: authentic connections, a genuine respect for people, and doing business through real experiences, not transactions. With the launch of Journeys North America 2025 and more destinations opening soon, this is exactly the leadership we need to scale without losing what makes Journeys different.

What This Means

Alex will be overseeing operations across all our events - from North America to the UK, Italy, Spain, and beyond - making sure every experience lives up to the standard we’ve set: meaningful, memorable, and distinctly Journeys.

It’s not just about managing logistics. It’s about protecting the way we do business: through shared experiences, conversations that matter, and relationships that last.
