A Grand Host for Journeys Italy 2025

I’m currently on-site at the magnificent Grand Hotel et Des Palmes - the official host hotel for Journeys Italy 2025 - finalising what promises to be a truly special programme. Writing this from my suite, I’m reminded once again why this iconic property is such a perfect fit for our event.

This iconic property will take centre stage during our event, welcoming our ultra-luxury agents from North America and Northern Europe with a refined welcome apericena, an official opening featuring Assessore Anello from the City of Palermo (another key partner of Journeys Italy 2025), and an elegant hosted lunch - all set within its magnificent and storied walls.

This week, I had the pleasure of meeting Marcello Mangia, the visionary behind the Mangia’s brand, whose passion for Italian excellence shines through every detail. I was also warmly welcomed by his incredible team - Patrizia Costa, Carmela Piazza, and General Manager Rosario Rubino.

Rosario graciously gave me a private tour of this extraordinary property, which continues to impress me every time I return. The presidential suite, in particular, is nothing short of breathtaking. Once the chosen residence of Richard Wagner, who completed Parsifal while staying here in 1881–1882, the suite is steeped in elegance and history. Its soaring ceilings, original frescoes, and lavish furnishings embody the spirit of timeless grandeur - offering our guests a rare blend of culture, comfort, and distinction.
