The Emilia-Romagna We Want You to Meet
One of the pleasures of creating Journeys Italy is deciding how to introduce a region to people who spend their working lives recommending places to others.
Our buyers are curious, well travelled and full of questions. Many already know Italy extremely well. That makes it particularly rewarding to introduce them to a person, a place or an experience that gives them a fresh reason to return with their clients.

For Journeys Italy 2026, Emilia-Romagna offers us plenty to work with.
There is its remarkable food culture, of course. There is the international reputation of Motor Valley. There is its long association with wellbeing, alongside people developing their own ideas about hospitality and longevity.

What interests me most is meeting the people who bring these different parts of the region to life.
A local producer can tell you something about an ingredient that changes how you taste it. Someone who knows a venue intimately can draw your attention to a detail you would otherwise walk past. A host can share a personal recommendation that becomes the starting point for a future visit.
Working with APT Servizi Emilia-Romagna and our local partners, we are making room for those encounters within our November programme.
Our guests will discover contrasting settings and meet people with very different stories to tell. There will be opportunities to taste, ask questions, take part and follow a little of their own curiosity.
I won’t turn this into a list of every stop. We would like our community to arrive with a sense of anticipation, too.
What I hope our buyers take home is a more personal knowledge of Emilia-Romagna: people they can call, experiences they can describe with confidence and ideas that immediately bring a particular client to mind.
That is a good place for new business to begin.
