As I make my way to Turin to visit my mum, I can’t help but reflect on what has been one of the most extraordinary editions of Journeys Italy to date. The 2024 event in Le Marche exceeded all expectations, reaffirming the power of our Fam-Meet® way of doing business.

This format, which seamlessly blends immersive experiences with one-to-one meetings, came alive in a way that truly showcased the authenticity and culture of this captivating region.

Le Marche welcomed us with open arms, offering a rich tapestry of history, art, and natural beauty. Delegates were immersed in an experience that went far beyond the surface, engaging with the essence of the real Italy. The blend of its cultural treasures, local craftsmanship, and culinary delights created an event that was as inspiring as it was impactful.

A Celebration of Le Marche: Authenticity at its Heart

Le Marche is a region that captivates with its understated charm, rich heritage, and unspoiled landscapes. During the event, our delegates were invited to immerse themselves fully in its culture, from exploring historic towns like Pesaro and Urbino to tasting the region's renowned cuisine. It’s hard not to be inspired by the warmth of its people, the richness of its traditions, and the genuine Italian spirit that seems to seep into every interaction.

What struck me most about Le Marche is its balance between the old and the new. From cobblestone streets steeped in Renaissance history to innovative hospitality at places like the Lindbergh Hotels, every aspect of the region worked in harmony to make this event truly special.

Connections Beyond Business

The essence of Journeys lies in building trust through shared experiences. The feedback from our delegates has been overwhelmingly positive, with many sharing how much they appreciated the thoughtful blend of structured meetings and curated activities.

One delegate mentioned how crafting tacconi pasta during lunch at Palazzo Gradari became an unexpected highlight. Another cherished the intimate one-to-one meetings in the historic theatre boxes of Teatro Rossini, surrounded by the echoes of Gioacchino Rossini’s masterpieces.

These moments – whether over a meal, during a workshop, or amidst the grandeur of a historical landmark – are what transform business relationships into genuine partnerships.

Cultural Experiences that Spark Joy

Le Marche’s treasures were on full display, from the artistic marvels of Urbino’s Palazzo Ducale to the vibrant performances at Teatro Rossini. A standout was the live painting set to Rossini’s William Tell overture, which left many of us awestruck. These cultural touches were not just entertaining; they provided a deeper connection to the region and its identity.

The local artisans, too, added an unforgettable layer to the event. Whether it was watching terracotta masterpieces come to life or seeing the intricate craft of leatherwork, these interactions reminded us of the value of preserving traditions.

Dining as a Gateway to Connection

Food, as always, played a starring role in our event. Each meal was not only a feast for the senses but also a conduit for connection. From savouring the regional specialities at Lo Scudiero to sharing laughter and stories over a rustic lunch at Tenuta Santi Giacomo e Filippo, the culinary experiences were a testament to the bond between good food and great conversations.

The Spirit of Partnership

This event would not have been possible without the unwavering support of our partners. From the cities of Pesaro and Urbino to the dedicated teams at Lindbergh Hotels, CuriousItalia, and Le Marche Region, their passion and commitment shone through every detail.

The closing dinner at Sala Raffaello in Collegio Raffaello was a fitting finale to the event. As we gathered in that magnificent space, it was heartwarming to hear stories of connections made and collaborations planned.

Looking Ahead

Journeys Italy 2024 was not just an event; it was an experience that reminded us of the importance of human connection. The memories created in Le Marche will undoubtedly shape the future of many businesses that were part of it.

As I head to Turin, I am filled with gratitude for everyone who contributed to the event’s success. From the delegates who travelled far and wide to the tireless efforts of the Journeys team, this was a collective achievement.

Here’s to continuing the journey of building trust and doing business.

Until next time, arrivederci!

Micaela and the Journeys team
