Journeys expands team with two key appointments


Fast-growing tailored events solution provider Journeys Global has expanded its team with two key appointments.

Craig Moyes joins the rapidly expanding business as Director of Business Development, while Nicoletta Pilardi joins the team as Account Director.


Craig is well-known and respected in the global events industry, with vast experience in overseeing major exhibitions, holding previous roles at Montgomery Group and Informa, as well as Reed Travel Exhibitions (RTE), where he worked for over 10 years overseeing the group’s meetings and events portfolio across six continents.


In his most recent role at RTE, Craig headed up the leisure travel portfolio of World Travel Market (WTM) London, Arabian Travel Market (ATM), WTM Latin America, WTM Africa, among others.




Nicoletta has many years’ experience in the hospitality business, starting at three years old when her parents opened Hotel Sporting in Italy.


Since then, she has held key operations, sales and marketing positions within the luxury market – including at The Dorchester, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, opening the first Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts in Milan, and opening the St Regis Rome – travelling all over the world to represent hotels in key partnership and international trade events.


In 2010 Nicoletta created NP Collection by NP Marketing with the aim to support travel brands and independent properties worldwide.


Craig and Nicoletta join the team at an exciting time for Journeys as it expands its portfolio with new events.


Their appointments bring the total number in the Journeys team to six, joining a strong team of events professionals: Events Director Alejandro (known as Alex) Roca Rivera who joined last year; Events Executive Alessia Juarez, who, as well as working with Journeys is also currently studying International Business Management at Oxford Brookes University; Operations and IT Director Ben Weetman and Journeys Founder and Managing Director Micaela Giacobbe, who has spent 25 years creating events.

Journeys Director of Business Development Craig Moyes said: “For most of my business career I have been involved with events – be they exhibitions, conferences, workshops, or hybrids of face-to-face and live streaming.


“They have taken me all over the world, from the UK to Europe, China, Australia, South America, North America, Africa and Asia. “Whilst the pandemic has taught us that much can be accomplished by remote working and virtual meetings, people need those face-to-face contacts and experiences to really develop the deep personal and business relationships that stand the test of time. “Micaela and I met during our time at Reed Travel Exhibitions. I am in awe of her drive and determination to succeed, firstly with Connections and now with Journeys. I am delighted to be on the ‘journey’ with her and the rest of the team.”
